A slow personal computer should be a thing of the past. With advancement in innovations and technology, having a slow computer will give you the idea of living through ancient times. Bcause of this that individual always search for ways to speed up their PCs.
If you are on the same road, then you just came to timely place. Its true that there are several ways involve in speeding up a PC. But then again, these effortless things are worth a try.
Here are some ways to speed up my Windows:
> Getting bored with the menu delays is really annoying. Cut down the time it takes for menu transitions by right-clicking your desktop. Click Properties and Choose the Effects tab. Deselect the Animate windows menu lists. For Windows XP users, this can be done by right-clicking on the desktop, selecting Properties, choosing the Appearance tab, selecting the Effects option and uncheck Use the following transition effects for menus and tooltips, then Choose OK.
> Speed up Windows Start Up by removing out the programs you dont utilize at start-up. For Windows 98 users, you can do this by Start menu and clicking Run. Then enter MSConfig.exe and then choose OK. Click the Start up tab then unchoose the programs you want to stopduring the startup. As you see, you may be able to speed start up Windows if you cut down the softwares that computer needs to run.
> Defragment also helps to speed up your PC. Look for the defrag option under your System Tools menu from the Accessories or Start Tab. Make sure that you provide a time for defragging. Using varied programs as the same time as defragging restricts the process itself.
> Prefering to install your programs would be best if you usually encounter script and other minor errors. Run a virus scan before you back up all of your important files In addition, make sure that you have a copy of your hardware drivers and program installers before trying to delete the contents of your hard drive Reinstalling your software takes at least an hour or so
> This is a very basic tip that you should regularly do: Remove any unused programs. Applications, even if you are utilizing them or not, eat up space in your hard disk. If you arent utilizing them, then remove them.
